Pix4D Pricing 2026: Every Plan, Credits and Real Costs

Camera drone hovering above a raised hand, the kind of aerial photo capture Pix4D pricing plans charge to process

Pix4D pricing in 2026 runs from $990 a year for PIX4Dreact to $4,990 a year for PIX4Dmatic Pro, with PIX4Dmapper at $3,990 a year and PIX4Dcloud from $1,290 a year plus processing credits. The "from $125 a month" on Pix4D's pricing page is the cheapest PIX4Dmatic plan, prepaid for three years, and that plan cannot make an orthomosaic.

Pix4D is a Swiss photogrammetry company with a family of products rather than one app. PIX4Dmatic and PIX4Dmapper process drone photos on your own computer. PIX4Dcloud processes them online and shares the results. PIX4Dfields is for agriculture, PIX4Dreact for emergency mapping and PIX4Dcatch for phone-based scanning. Each one has its own price, and most have three billing terms.

This guide lists every published Pix4D price as of October 2026, explains which plan you actually need for an orthomosaic or a survey deliverable, works through the cloud credit bill for real cameras, and covers what changed in January 2026 and what happens when you cancel.

Pix4D pricing at a glance

Pix4D sells every product as a subscription billed monthly, yearly or every three years, and the longer the term, the lower the effective monthly rate. These are the US dollar list prices on Pix4D's pricing pages in October 2026, excluding tax.

Product Plan Month to month Yearly Three years
PIX4Dmatic Analyst $229 $2,290 $4,490
PIX4Dmatic Standard $399 $3,990 $7,190
PIX4Dmatic Pro $499 $4,990 $8,990
PIX4Dmapper Single plan $399 $3,990 Not offered
PIX4Dcloud Starter $129 $1,290 $2,590
PIX4Dcloud Pro $449 $4,490 $8,990
PIX4Dcloud Enterprise Quote Quote Quote
PIX4Dfields Single plan $349 $1,990 $3,990
PIX4Dreact Single plan $99 $990 $1,990
PIX4Dcatch Pro $159 $1,590 $3,990
PIX4Dcatch + PIX4Dcloud Catch Pro + Cloud Pro $608 $6,080 $12,980

Pix4D offers a free 15-day plan with no credit card, and payment by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, ACH or bank transfer in the US. Scanning kits that pair PIX4Dcatch with GNSS receivers from Bad Elf, Emlid, Leica, Topcon and Trimble are quote-only.

What "from $125 a month" actually buys

The headline numbers on Pix4D's main pricing page are three-year prices divided by 36, or one-year prices divided by 12 where no three-year term exists. Here is where each one comes from:

Headline on pricing page Source What you pay up front Month-to-month price for the same plan
PIX4Dmatic from $125/month Analyst, three years ($4,490 ÷ 36) $4,490 $229
PIX4Dmapper from $333/month One year ($3,990 ÷ 12) $3,990 $399
PIX4Dfields from $111/month Three years ($3,990 ÷ 36) $3,990 $349
PIX4Dreact from $55/month Three years ($1,990 ÷ 36) $1,990 $99
PIX4Dcloud from $72/month Starter, three years ($2,590 ÷ 36) $2,590 $129

That is why PIX4Dmapper gets quoted at $333, $332.50 and $399 a month. Each figure is correct for a different billing term: the first two are the yearly price divided by 12, the third is the month-to-month price.

The discounts are large. Against paying month to month, a yearly plan saves about 17% on most products, and a three-year PIX4Dmatic plan saves 46% on Analyst and 50% on Standard and Pro. PIX4Dfields is the extreme case: $349 a month on a monthly plan is $4,188 a year, against $1,990 on a yearly plan, a 53% discount.

The trade is commitment. Pix4D does not refund cancelled plans (more on that below), so a three-year PIX4Dmatic plan is a $4,490 to $8,990 payment for software you cannot hand back. Use the 15-day free plan to test on your own data first.

And the cheapest product is not the one most buyers need. That is the next section.

PIX4Dmatic plans: which one makes an orthomosaic?

PIX4Dmatic Standard is the cheapest PIX4Dmatic plan that turns drone photos into an orthomosaic, DSM and mesh. The Analyst plan, which sets the "from $125 a month" price, cannot make an orthomosaic, DSM or mesh from your photos.

The reason is history. Until January 2026, Pix4D sold two desktop apps: PIX4Dmatic for processing and PIX4Dsurvey for extracting survey data from point clouds. Pix4D unified them on 5 January 2026 as PIX4Dmatic 2.0 with three plans. Former PIX4Dmatic licenses map to Standard, and former PIX4Dsurvey licenses map to Analyst.

Pix4D's comparison table on the PIX4Dmatic pricing page splits the features like this:

Feature Analyst Standard Pro
Photogrammetry processing (calibration, point cloud, DSM, orthomosaic, mesh) No Yes Yes
Surveying outputs (terrain classification, grid of points, TIN, DTM, contours) Yes No Yes
Advanced measurements (stockpile detection, volumes from LandXML) Yes No Yes
Advanced vectorization (arc, catenary, road, roof and wall detection) Yes No Yes
Merge drone, PIX4Dcatch and LiDAR projects No Yes Yes
Orthoplanes No Yes Yes
Gaussian splats No No Yes
Process in PIX4Dcloud (with a cloud license) No Yes Yes
Yearly price $2,290 $3,990 $4,990

One thing on that page can mislead. The Analyst plan card lists calibration and point cloud generation, but Pix4D's feature-per-license table shows that Analyst cannot import images, run calibration or build a dense point cloud. It works on point clouds and projects that were processed somewhere else.

Read the table by deliverable:

  • Orthomosaics, 3D meshes and DSMs for inspection or progress work: Standard. $3,990 a year.
  • A DTM, contours or a TIN from drone photos: Pro. Standard processes the photos but has no terrain classification or DTM; Analyst has the survey tools but not the photogrammetry processing. Buying both separately costs $6,280 a year, so Pro at $4,990 is the survey plan.
  • Survey extraction from point clouds you already have (from a LiDAR unit, another processing tool or a contractor): Analyst.

If your work is drone surveying, budget for Pro. A topographic deliverable needs a DTM, and Pro is the only PIX4Dmatic plan that takes photos all the way there. Survey-grade output also needs ground control points or checkpoints, whether or not the aircraft has RTK.

PIX4Dmatic runs on Windows and macOS, according to its pricing page. Pix4D lists PIX4Dmapper as Windows only.

PIX4Dmapper: still sold, with conditions

PIX4Dmapper is Pix4D's original desktop photogrammetry app, and it still costs $399 a month or $3,990 a year with no three-year option. The license is floating: one person can sign in on different computers, but only one device can run it at a time.

Three things to know before buying it in 2026:

  1. It costs the same as PIX4Dmatic Standard on a yearly plan, and more on a three-year one. Standard is $3,990 a year or $7,190 for three years, while PIX4Dmapper has no three-year discount. If you are starting fresh, compare the two on a trial dataset.
  2. Its cloud workflow changed in February 2026. Pix4D retired the legacy PIX4Dmapper processing pipeline in its cloud products on 28 February 2026. PIX4Dmapper projects uploaded to PIX4Dcloud are now processed with a nadir or oblique template, and Pix4D says all other settings in the .p4d project file are ignored. The "Export to PIX4Dmapper" download from PIX4Dcloud was also removed. If your reason for PIX4Dmapper was fine control of cloud processing, that reason is gone.
  3. Cloud processing is a separate subscription. PIX4Dmapper processes unlimited projects on your own computer. Processing in PIX4Dcloud needs a PIX4Dcloud plan and credits.

PIX4Dmapper remains a sound choice if your team already has templates, training and quality procedures built on it. Switching tools has a real cost, and Pix4D still sells and supports PIX4Dmapper.

PIX4Dcloud pricing and the credit bill

PIX4Dcloud costs $1,290 a year for Starter or $4,490 a year for Pro, and every project processed on Pix4D's servers also consumes credits. Sharing results processed on your own computer does not.

PIX4Dcloud plan Yearly price Credits included per year Main additions
Starter $1,290 500 2D maps and 3D models, measurements, annotations, unlimited users
Pro $4,490 2,500 Auto GCPs, timeline, volume comparison, design overlay (DXF, IFC), Trimble and Esri integrations, Gaussian splats
Enterprise Quote Custom Team access control, API, webhooks, SSO, dock platform compatibility

Monthly plans include 40 credits a month on Starter and 200 on Pro.

How Pix4D credits are calculated

Pix4D's credit balance FAQ gives the formula:

Credits = image resolution in megapixels × number of images ÷ 100

Drone datasets processed with Gaussian splats use a divisor of 80 instead of 100, and PIX4Dcloud processes at most 4,000 images per project. The camera, not the site, sets the bill. A Mavic 3 Enterprise shoots 20 MP; a Zenmuse P1 shoots 45 MP:

Dataset 20 MP camera (Mavic 3 Enterprise, Matrice 4E) 45 MP camera (Zenmuse P1)
200 photos 40 credits 90 credits
1,000 photos 200 credits 450 credits
3,000 photos 600 credits 1,350 credits
Pro's 2,500 yearly credits cover 12 maps of 1,000 photos 5 maps of 1,000 photos

That is why some long-time customers were upset when the credit system arrived in June 2023. In a Pix4D community thread from that month, a P1 operator processing around 20 projects of 600 photos a month worked out a need for 5,400 credits a month. Pix4D's director of enterprise cloud replied that a 45 MP camera does cost more to process in the cloud than it used to, while a 20 MP camera like the Mavic 3 Enterprise is a different story.

What extra credits cost: the credit selector on Pix4D's PIX4Dcatch pricing page lists a 100-credit pack at 99 Swiss francs, roughly one franc per credit. Pix4D's PIX4Dfields credit FAQ says credits are sold in packs of 100, 500, 1,000, 2,500 and 10,000 and that larger packs cost less per credit, but Pix4D does not print those prices or a US dollar price on its pricing pages. Ask for them before you sign, because they decide your real cloud bill.

Four rules from the same FAQ are worth knowing:

  • Failed processing still uses credits. Pix4D refunds only failures caused by verified internal bugs.
  • Deleting a project does not return credits. It frees storage only.
  • Auto top-up buys credits for you when a project needs more than your balance, once you have made one manual purchase. Check that setting if someone else holds the company card.
  • Credits disappear 60 days after your license expires. They do not expire while the license is active.

Desktop or cloud: Pix4D cost per map

Desktop processing in PIX4Dmatic or PIX4Dmapper has a flat price, so every extra map lowers the cost per map. PIX4Dcloud adds a variable cost per map once you use up the included credits.

Take a service company that produces 1,000-photo maps with a 20 MP camera:

Maps per year PIX4Dmatic Standard (yearly) per map PIX4Dcloud Pro: credits needed Credits beyond the 2,500 included
12 $333 2,400 None
52 $77 10,400 7,900
150 $27 30,000 27,500

At the 100-credit pack rate of 99 francs, the 52-map case means about 7,800 francs of extra credits on top of the $4,490 subscription. Larger packs cut that number, but by an amount Pix4D only quotes on request. On a 45 MP camera, every credit figure in the table more than doubles.

The desktop column has costs of its own. You need a workstation that can process thousands of photos, and someone's time while it runs. A floating license also means one processing seat per person: three analysts working at once need three licenses, so $11,970 a year on PIX4Dmatic Standard.

Teams that fly a lot can do both: process on the desktop, then use "Share to PIX4Dcloud", which costs no credits, to give clients a browser link. A Starter plan at $1,290 a year covers sharing with unlimited users.

For a wider comparison, our drone photogrammetry software guide sets Pix4D against Metashape, DroneDeploy and open-source tools, and the DroneDeploy pricing breakdown shows how a gigapixel allowance compares with Pix4D's credits. If you are already in the DJI ecosystem, DJI Terra still sells a permanent license alongside its annual one, and our DroneDeploy alternatives list ranks seven options with their prices.

The January 2026 price rise and perpetual licenses

Pix4D raised prices for new plans, rentals and one-time-charge (perpetual) licenses bought on or after 5 January 2026. Its pricing increase FAQ set out who was affected:

  • An active plan keeps its price. Pix4D said renewal prices for active plans would not increase in 2026.
  • An expired plan reactivates at the new price. Let a plan lapse and come back later, and you pay what a new customer pays.
  • Rentals renew at the new price.
  • Existing perpetual licenses keep working, but Pix4D warned of a "substantial" increase for new ones and said the yearly maintenance plan (formerly Support & Updates) could change under the new structure. Customers with a valid maintenance plan before the end of 2025 keep a loyalty renewal at the old price.

The practical lesson is to keep a plan you intend to use active. A lapse between projects can cost more than the months you skipped.

Perpetual licenses are no longer on the self-serve store. Pix4D says its primary model is subscription and that one-time-charge licenses are available on request through sales. The widely quoted $4,990 PIX4Dmapper perpetual price predates the 2026 increase, so treat any perpetual figure you find online as a starting point for a quote, not a price.

PIX4Dfields, PIX4Dreact, PIX4Dcatch and education pricing

Pix4D's specialist products are priced lower than the desktop processors, and each has its own catch.

PIX4Dfields ($349 a month, $1,990 a year, $3,990 for three years) builds vegetation index maps and prescription maps for variable-rate application and spot spraying, with direct export to tractors and spray drones. The plan covers unlimited acreage and includes 25 credits a month for credit-based features such as satellite imagery. Our agriculture drone software guide explains where a tool like this fits next to a farm management system.

PIX4Dreact ($99 a month, $990 a year, $1,990 for three years) makes fast 2D maps for emergency response. It is 2D only, which is fine for situational awareness and not enough for a reconstruction. See our guide to drones for emergency response for how agencies use rapid maps.

PIX4Dcatch ($159 a month, $1,590 a year, $3,990 for three years) turns a phone or tablet into a scanning tool with RTK support. It captures; it does not process. You still need PIX4Dmatic or PIX4Dcloud, which is why Pix4D sells a Catch Pro plus Cloud Pro bundle at $6,080 a year. The RTK receiver and the NTRIP correction service are extra.

Education licenses are much cheaper. Pix4D sells them as non-commercial licenses to anyone attending or teaching at a qualified educational institution, and asks for an official school email address at checkout:

License PIX4Dmatic Pro PIX4Dmapper PIX4Dfields
Professor (yearly) $1,100 ($2,200 for 3 yrs) $1,000 $650 ($1,300 for 3 yrs)
Classroom (yearly) $1,700 ($3,400 for 3 yrs) $1,500 $1,000 ($2,000 for 3 yrs)
Student $70/month or $280/semester $60/month or $240/semester $55/month or $220/semester

Pix4D's education pricing pages set the eligibility rules. A university drone program also has to manage the aircraft, pilots and training records around the software; our research and education page covers that side, and the OAMK case study shows one university doing it.

Cancelling Pix4D: no refunds and the 60-day credit rule

You can cancel any Pix4D subscription from your account at any time, but the cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing cycle and Pix4D does not offer refunds. On a monthly plan that costs you at most a month. On a three-year plan, you have paid for three years.

What you lose when the license ends:

  • Processing under that license ends, on the desktop and in the cloud.
  • Unused PIX4Dcloud credits are deleted 60 days after the license expires, under Pix4D's retention policy.
  • Your projects in PIX4Dcloud follow the retention policy too. Download what you need while the plan is active.

The safe habit is the same for any processing platform. Keep the original photos, export the orthomosaic GeoTIFF, point cloud and model when each job is final, and store them with the job record rather than only in a vendor's cloud. Our post on data ownership covers why that matters when a client asks for a two-year-old map during a dispute.

What Pix4D pricing does not cover

Pix4D prices processing. It does not plan the flight or run the business around the map.

Pix4D has discontinued PIX4Dcapture Pro and the older PIX4Dcapture, its flight planning apps, and now says its software processes images from any capture app with good quality and overlap. Your grid missions come from DJI Pilot 2, a third-party app or a drone flight planner. The 3D model capture guide covers overlap and flight patterns for the photos Pix4D will process.

The rest of a drone program sits outside Pix4D as well: taking the client request, scheduling a pilot and aircraft, airspace and weather checks, maintenance records, flight logs, the records the FAA can ask a Part 107 operator to produce, client delivery and invoicing. That is the operations layer, and it is what DroneBundle is built for. A survey team can run both, Pix4D for processing and an operations platform for jobs, pilots, fleet, compliance and clients. Our surveying and inspection page shows how that fits together.

DroneBundle also covers part of the processing layer. 3D Scans turns drone photos on a job into orthomosaics, point clouds, textured 3D models and thermal maps, with measurements, photo-linked findings and branded PDF reports. It is priced differently from PIX4Dcloud:

What you are comparing PIX4Dcloud DroneBundle 3D Scans
Which plan includes it Starter $1,290/yr, Pro $4,490/yr, Enterprise Enterprise (custom price) and every free trial
How processing is counted Megapixels × images ÷ 100 One credit per 100 photos, rounded up
Effect of a 45 MP camera Uses credits 2.25 times faster than 20 MP No effect; credits count photos, not megapixels
Included processing 500 or 2,500 credits a year 200 credits a month
Photos per project Up to 4,000 10 to 1,500
Survey tools Auto GCPs, design overlay, volume comparison No GCP input and no design-surface comparison
Operations around the job Not included Jobs, pilots, fleet, compliance, client portal, invoicing

Be clear about the trade. If your product is survey-grade topography with GCPs, DTMs and contours, PIX4Dmatic Pro is the right tool and DroneBundle is not trying to replace it. If you scan roofs, buildings and sites as part of inspection work and want the scan, findings, flight logs and invoice on the same job, DroneBundle's Enterprise plan keeps them together. Our drone surveying software guide explains the three layers a survey business runs on.

If you do not need 3D Scans, the operations platform starts lower. DroneBundle pricing runs from Starter at $149 a month for up to five team members, through Professional at $499 with DJI flight log processing and client invoicing, to Business at $999 with the full CRM. The drone software ROI calculator helps size the spend against hours saved.

Frequently asked questions

How much does Pix4D cost per month?

It depends on the product and the billing term. PIX4Dmatic costs $229, $399 or $499 month to month for Analyst, Standard or Pro. PIX4Dmapper is $399 month to month or $3,990 a year. PIX4Dcloud is $129 or $449 a month. The lower "from" prices on Pix4D's site assume a yearly or three-year prepayment.

Is there a free version of Pix4D?

Not for processing. Pix4D has no free processing plan for commercial use, but it offers a free 15-day trial with no credit card. A PIX4Dcloud Pro trial includes 40 processing credits, enough for about 200 photos from a 20 MP camera. The PIX4Dcatch capture app is free to download, and its paid plan has a 14-day trial through the Apple App Store.

Can you still buy a Pix4D perpetual license?

Only through Pix4D's sales team. One-time-charge licenses are no longer sold in the online store, and Pix4D raised their price substantially from 5 January 2026. Existing perpetual licenses keep working, and a yearly maintenance plan provides updates and support.

Is PIX4Dmatic or PIX4Dmapper better value?

On a yearly plan they cost the same, $3,990 for PIX4Dmatic Standard or PIX4Dmapper. PIX4Dmatic has a three-year option at $7,190, runs on Windows and macOS, and merges drone, phone and LiDAR data in one project. For DTMs and contours you need PIX4Dmatic Pro at $4,990 a year.

Process the map, run the job

Pix4D gives you deep control over processing, and its price list rewards long commitments and steady use. The rest of a drone program's cost builds up around the map: scheduling pilots, keeping aircraft maintained, proving compliance, delivering to clients and getting paid. DroneBundle runs that operations layer, and on Enterprise it processes scans on the same job, counted by photos rather than megapixels.

Start a 14-day free trial with 20 processing credits and no credit card to scan a real site and file it against a job, or book a live demo to see how scans, flight logs, pilots and invoices connect in one workspace.
