Document Expiry Tracking: Upload a Certificate and DroneBundle Finds the Date

Upload an insurance certificate, a waiver, an aircraft registration, or a training record to Documents and DroneBundle reads it, finds every expiry date on it, and reminds you 30 days before, 7 days before, and on the day. Nobody types a date.

The Date Comes Off the Page

  • Every PDF, JPG, PNG, or TIFF uploaded to Documents is read, up to 50 MB and 500 pages
  • The document page shows what was found: the holder, the issuer, the certificate or policy number, and the issued, effective, and expiry dates
  • Photos and scans are read the same way as original files
  • A document with several dates, such as a training record with three courses, gets each date tracked on its own
  • Only dates the document states are tracked. A document with no end date shows No expiry

One List of What Expires When

  • Documents has an Expiry column with the next date, Expired in red, or No expiry
  • Red and amber counts on Documents in the sidebar show what has expired and what expires within 30 days
  • Mark as checked takes a document off the attention list once it has been dealt with, and records who checked it
  • Owners and project managers can set or correct a date by hand
  • Upload a renewed certificate as a new version and it is read again, with the old version kept in the history

Reminders

  • A notification 30 days before a document expires, 7 days before, and on the day
  • Sent to workspace owners and project managers

In DroneBundle AI and the Weekly Report

  • DroneBundle AI opens with a Needs your attention list of expired and expiring documents
  • Ask what expires in the next 90 days, or whether your insurance is up to date
  • The weekly report lists expired documents and documents expiring within 30 days

Where It Lives

  • Documents, on every plan and every free trial, with nothing to set up
